SANZ was founded in 2021 as the solo project of former Groovenom frontman Sandro “Sanz” Geissler. After two studio albums and tours alongside acts such as MONO INC. and Hell Boulevard, the project evolved into a five-piece dark rock band.
With the release of “Ending Things” in October 2024, SANZ opened a new chapter, pushing their rock elements even more to the forefront. Their signature blend of catchy vocals, massive guitar walls, modern synthesizers, driving basslines and groovy drums continues to define their sound in 2025. It remains heavy, yet clearly influenced by the pop music of the 80s.
On stage, SANZ captivate with Sandro’s melancholic and authentic performance and the virtuosic guitar work of Joe Gastel. As a heartfelt project, the band brings a fresh breeze into the scene, merging retro charm with modern influences – a powerful balancing act between nostalgia and longing.
